Head over to the Servers tab and pick any available server. The game runs entirely in your browser — no download needed.

Valenarth is currently in Alpha Test, which requires an invite code. You can request one on our Discord server.

Since the game uses the latest browser GPU acceleration (WebGPU), not all browsers perform equally on Windows. From our testing, Opera delivers the best performance so far.

Yes! Valenarth is completely free to play and will remain so for the entire Alpha and Public Beta phases. The final monetization model for release hasn't been decided yet — it's far too early for that.

The game does offer visual cosmetic buildings to individualize your settlement, but these are purely cosmetic and provide no gameplay advantage.

No. Valenarth will never offer any game-breaking advantages to anyone — this is one of our core pillars we believe in.

Even the premium currency is obtainable in-game through event participation, which happens on a regular basis. It can never be used to gain any advantage over non-paying players.

The shop contains only cosmetic items and some quality-of-life services like skill tree resets, renames, and similar. And like we said — even these can be earned by just playing the game.

The game design includes PvP as part of the Nations Warfare system, but it's limited to a small area around contestable towers. You won't get randomly attacked while gathering or crafting.

Participation is entirely up to you — if you don't want to PvP, you don't have to. You can even contribute to the Nations Warfare effort without fighting — your settlement needs supplies to maintain or extend its territory, so crafters and gatherers play a vital role too.

Yes, your items are completely safe. There is no system in Valenarth that causes you to lose your stuff — not even on death. Log off whenever you want without worrying.

Valenarth is a social sandbox MMO built heavily around settlements and nations. Technically you can play alone, but the game is designed for group play.

We'd recommend joining an existing settlement or creating your own and recruiting players. The experience is much richer when you collaborate.

There may be wipes during the Alpha phase, though we try to keep them to a bare minimum. When they do happen, we usually don't wipe everything.

Things like skill levels — which take the most effort to build up — are kept between world resets whenever possible.

Our main communication channel is Discord, where you'll find dedicated channels for bug reports, balance feedback, and your own ideas. We actively read and respond to everything.

In our latest update we've put effort into making Valenarth playable on mobile devices, although they're not officially supported yet. The game is primarily aimed at modern tablets and desktop computers.

We're currently aiming for around 200 players per server, but that number isn't set in stone and may change as we optimize and scale.

Settlements are player-owned land where you can construct most of the game's buildings. Place a settlement stone, claim your territory, and start building.

Each settlement comes with a detailed permission system — Leader, Co-Leader, and Citizens — with per-citizen settings for building, using stations, accessing storages, and the market. You can even set everything to public if that's your style.

Valenarth has 12 skills that you level by interacting with the world — chop down a tree and your woodcutting advances, mine ore and your mining improves, and so on.

There are 6 gathering skills and 6 crafting skills. Each comes with a deep skill tree that's key to advancing faster and more efficiently. The tree also contains global bonuses that benefit all your skills.

You can technically level all 12 skills on a single character. However, the more you progress, the more effort each level requires. Most players reach a point where specialization becomes key — especially in a group where good communication lets everyone focus on what they do best.

Valenarth is a home for both casual and dedicated players. The gameplay is relaxing — nothing forces you to progress within a certain time. It's more a question of when you reach something, not if.

That said, if you want to be competitive, it can get pretty hardcore — we're not gonna lie. In Valenarth, your invested time means something to the world. Being a great woodcutter means you've actually chopped down a lot of trees. There are no shortcuts.

It depends entirely on your playstyle and preferences. Every skill is equally important — the economy needs output from all of them.

Typically, a gathering skill goes hand in hand with a certain crafting skill. For example, Hunting harmonizes well with Leatherworking. But some skills like Cooking rely on the output of several other skills, so there's always room for creative combinations.

Pick what you enjoy — you'll find your niche.

Yes! In the future we plan to make it possible to rent a private server where you decide who gets to play on it. The game rules still apply to everyone, but as the owner you'll become an operator in-game with special abilities to administrate and moderate your server.

No. We want every player's progress to mean something and be needed by others. We don't hold back your progression on a single character — if you want to pursue multiple skills, that's entirely up to you, but with one account.

It also wouldn't make sense strategically. Every skill brings global bonuses that help all your other skills — putting that effort into a separate account is wasted potential for your main character.

We actively enforce this rule — you can only be online with one account at a time.

No. Sharing accounts is treated the same as multi-accounting. It's an unfair advantage over players who earn their progress in every single session.

We offer enough in-game tools to manage access to your stuff while offline — so you can coordinate effective and economic play with your settlement without ever needing to share an account.

Like we said — no shortcuts.
